BGS Day @ Sittingbourne & Milton Regis:

Greeted by a warm welcome, a seriously whumping wind and a wonderful breakfast the Broadstairs Golf Society golfers got the new season off to a wonderful start. Phil Boxall leading the way at his home course with 40pts and a clear 3 point win (Phil: the scissors are being sharpened). Another good performance brought our own Peter K in on 37pts & the wind was no match for Lee 'Golf Ball Belter' Bulford with a splendid 36pts, including an Eagle 3 on the Par5 2nd hole.

Carl won the Nearest the Pin in 2 shots, Peter K & Arthur won the 2 Nearest the Pins & with a shockingly short 193yards, Rhod won the Longest Drive (probably would've been over 300yards without the wind).
Last, but not least, was Steve Rowe with a surprisingly low 16 - but atleast he got plenty of exercise.  There were just a few fines: Rhod was fined for forgetting to give out the Nearest the Pin markers - so this is a good moment to see if we've any volunteers for a few jobs that need sharing out on the day (just send a message through to Rhod - it's good to get involved...)
