Nizels, 23rd June 2026, could go down as the hottest Broadstairs Golf Society day in its illustrious history... With a busy golfing summer underway, just the baker's dozen signed up for one of our premier venues this year. 

Nizels was glorious... a brief thunderstorm came and went whilst we enjoyed one of the finest breakfasts of the season... The usual debacle of a draw ensued & then we were off. 

With some beautiful lakes, unforgiving rough, and the unrelenting heat this wasn't for the feint hearted. We didn't do a lost ball count but apparently Titelist & Callaway are battling over a sponsorship deal with us for next season.  Tudor's opening tee-shot found the 1st lake & things didn't improve as he lost 4 balls on the 1st seven holes... most of us could share our own stories of lost balls, unlucky bounces & missed putts.

Shine shenanigans around the team game but it didn't stop team 2 winning with a credible combo of 89pts. Well done Pete, Dave & Ed: that's £4 each in the kitty ????
