BGS April outing at North Foreland… Match Report:
What a good day we had last Wednesday… shame the sun wasn’t out… only one was brave enough to wear shorts & even he had a Bobble hat on – must be a Welsh thing!! Firstly, let me say how accommodating North Foreland were to us, the office staff were a joy and the food was great: much like the company today – a real joy although I’m not sure I can say all the golf was great.
The biggest smile was reserved for Dave Sears (nice to see you back) clinching Nearest the Pin on the 11th following a close-call measurement involving Dave Manley & Bob McDougall… Jon Hunnisett was on top form grabbing two NP’s on the 7th & 18th… whilst I (Rhod) managed to sneak the NP on the 5th as well as coming in 3rd with 34pts. Bob McDougall continuing his great recent form scored a commendable 35pts but that was nothing compared to a great round from Jon with 39pts.
A warm welcome to new member Chris Snell who was enjoying the sights & sounds of N.Foreland for the 1st time even if he wasn’t too excited by his score… I’m sure you’ll improve on that next time Chris.
