This week we were at one of the Broadstairs Golf Society's favourite venues - Redlibbets! & what a scorcher it was too...

Following a great breakfast & a good welcome from our Redlibbets' host, Carl did a few more card tricks to sort out the four groups & we were off... Anyone who'd read recent reviews of Redlibbets would've realised that today wasn't going to be a quick round... many may say 5 hours was a little too long but with beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, some good golf, some amazing company & a drinks buggy to chase down, there wasn't much to moan about... 

The conditions brought about some good scoring with 9 players scoring 34 or more points. In fact from 2nd to 9th were only seperated by a couple of points... so lots of work for the countback calculator when the cards came back in... Third place, on countback, went to Rhod, just pipping Carl, Lee & newcomer Ken (Welcome Ken! Hope you had a great day...). Second place was Bob with 36pts (the only surprise with that is that it was only 36pts).  First place, & a popular first time winner with the Society, was Rich Epps with a great 42pts. An incredible back 9 saw Rich come in at just one over par & a whopping 26pts... The only thing wrong with this is that Rich only gets cut one shot next time he plays...  Well played Rich!

The four nearest the pin prizes went to Steve (4th Hole), Ken (8th Hole), Rich (15th Hole) & Gary - another popular winner (17th Hole)...

Next Month is a trip to Tudor Park on Wednesday 10th August - we've got a few of spaces left, as I write this, so get in touch quickly if you want to come along for another great day...
