Match report
A short précis on today’s action…
Firstly, a big thank you to our leader. Today’s superb weather, delivered by email from Canada arrived first thing (cheers Rhod! 😎)
A small but perfectly formed group of 13 headed out early over the Sheppey Crossing to find Sheerness Golf Club nestling serenely amongst a backdrop of Kentish miscellany. Beautifully kept, undulating raised greens lay at the end of often tricky tee shots. Water hazards, ditches and dykes abound, with unforgiving ‘linksy’ rough defining every fairway.
Three outstanding scores headed up the final leaderboard. With 36 points, the ever-consistent Nigel Stevenson took third position. Second place with 40 points was Bob, plotting his way around with his usual aplomb!
Out front, one man, and a refreshing new face to the top of the podium…. Congratulations Terry Porter! A superb round of 41 points and today’s top prize!
NP’s went to Tony Clark, Paul McGuirk and Howard Turbitt. Most golf, JK.
