BGS March Match Report:

The Masters is bringing its usual inspiration for a good golf season ahead of us. Firstly, as much as I’ve looked for him, I’ve not been able to see Bob McDougall playing in Augusta. This is surprising considering his form in the sun at Littlestone Warren this month, scoring an amazing 44 points… Making Peter K’s 38pts & my 37pts look like a poor round!

Nearest the pins were won by Andy Miller, Bob, Carl, myself & first timer Barry Mitchell. Although Barry came 2nd in the battle of the newcomers as he lost out by 2 points to Jamie Baker. Welcome to both of you and hope you enjoy many rounds with the Broadstairs Golf Society (It’s not always good golf but it’s always good company…).
Bob also now holds 1st place in our ‘Player of the Year’ comp, where the best 6 scores over the season count. Only 3 players have 6 scores so far: 1st is Bob (208pts); 2nd is Rhod (182pts); 3rd is Rich Epps (175pts). But there’s a long way to go…
